1992

In 1992 the tournament was switched back to Cardiff RFC ground and remained there until it finally ended in 1995. Newport lost to Llanelli in the first round 10-21.

Newbridge, winners in 1990, beat Cross Keys and Maesteg comfortably to meet Cardiff in the S/F where they won a close fought match 24-19 after being 19-0 behind at one stage.. Meanwhile Swansea had won through to the other S/F by beating Ebbw Vale and Llanelli after extra-time 22-17. Swansea then beat S W Police 26-19 to reach the final. Swansea swept into a 24-0 lead but amazingly were beaten 28-24. Speedy wing David Manley collected 9 tries and the Everson Award. 5,000 watched what proved to be an absorbing tournament.
